The Chongqing Kaizhou Museum is located in the middle section of the most beautiful lakeside park in Kaizhou, and together with the Kaizhou Planning Museum, it forms a "two in one" urban landmark building that integrates traditional culture, local characteristics, and the spirit of the times. The construction began in October 2011 and was fully opened to the outside world in May 2014. The exhibition at the Kaizhou Museum in Chongqing includes basic displays such as "Splendid Kaizhou" and special displays such as "Memories of the Old City", "People of Kaizhou", and "Shadow Play Charm".
